We know Cormac Izuchukwu, Jude Postlethwaite, and Bryn Ward won’t be involved.

From Ulster I’d expect:

  • Baloucoune – certain

  • McCloskey – certain

  • Tom O’Toole – certain

  • Timoney – probably on the bench

I can’t see Doak or Tom Stewart making the matchday 23 , which leaves Stockdale.

What will Farrell do on the left wing?

Which Ulster players do you think make the squad?

15. Jamie Osborne
14. Robert Baloucoune
13. Garry Ringrose
12. Stuart McCloskey
11. Tommy O’Brien
10. Jack Crowley
9. Jamison Gibson-Park

1. Tom O’Toole
2. Dan Sheehan
3. Tadhg Furlong
4. Joe McCarthy
5. Tadhg Beirne
6. Jack Conan
7. Josh van der Flier
8. Caelan Doris (captain)

Replacements:

16. Rónan Kelleher
17. Michael Milne
18. Finlay Bealham
19. Darragh Murray
20. Nick Timoney
21. Craig Casey
22. Ciarán Frawley
23. Bundee Aki

From a ulster perspective, pretty much what I expected. Bundee on the bench a little bit of a surprise, plenty of cover for 12 already

No way Aki should be on the bench.  He only covers 12 and Big Stu is more than capable of doing the full 80.  Frawley/Crowley could cover 12 if there was an injury and we could have an additional forward (Henderson?, Edogbo?) on the bench.  Also I don’t think it is just Ulster bias to say the Doak should there in place of Casey, his kicking from hand is so much better, and he could cover the goal kicking if necessary.

I seen a few Leinster fans also saying that Doak should be on the bench, but then that might be an anti Munster thing.  It would make sense with Crowley goal kicking being so poor at the moment, it would be good to have him on the pitch.  Maybe they feel  its too soon for  him, hes only played 13mins for Ireland, and its a high pressure match,  having said that I feel that Doak would have been up for it.
