Ulster Rugby can confirm that Forwards Coach, Jimmy Duffy, will leave his role at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season by mutual consent…. With Jimmy set to depart at the end of the season, the agreement was reached in the best interests of him and his family, with the Galway native keen to move closer to home and spend more time with family based there.

Must be going back to Connacht.

The Connacht scrum and contact coach (Tucker) apparently leaving at the end of the season too, for the Irish U20s, so that might well be where he ends up.  It’ll be interesting to see who we end up with.  With Payne leaving the Scarlets, one possibility might be him coming back as defense coach and mad Willie moving to cover the forwards, though our defense has been really good this year, so not sure how up for changing that about I’d be.  One of our major issues this season has been the set piece, so trying to find someone with a lot of experience as a scrum/lineout coach would make a lot of sense to me.
