MUNSTER RUGBY HAS offered voluntary redundancies to its staff as the province looks to tighten its belt amid financial challenges.
The 42 understands that Munster Rugby employees were called to a meeting yesterday at which plans for voluntary redundancies were outlined.
It remains to be seen exactly how much of the Munster workforce leaves the organisation, but the news has naturally come as a huge blow for those employed by the province.
It’s believed that Munster’s senior professional players and coaches will not be directly affected by these measures, although there was a pre-existing plan for the southern province’s squad to have slightly fewer players in it next season…..

Looks like Munster will being going though the pain Ulster have been going though the last few years, the 42 are saying the lack of home ties in knockout games last year and this year being a facture. I know Ulster had similar issue with the La Rochelle game, but its crazy to think that can have such an effect on a club, but then I have read that Munster have been in financial difficultly for years and local business/sponsors have been bridging the funding gap for a while, but the lack of success maybe that well is starting to run dry? ( don’t know how true that is)
Roger Randle named as new attack coach with Munster Rugby · The 42
MUNSTER RUGBY HAVE found a replacement already for the departing Mike Prendergast in the role of attack coach.
Roger Randle has been appointed on a two-year contract and will take up his role in July on completion of the 2026 Super Rugby season, subject to obtaining a valid work permit.
A lot of Munster supports not happy about this because of accusations of sexual assault against him. Seems a strange decision consider how the IRFU handled P Jackson, Olding and Chris Farrell

It is understood that the appointment was driven by McMillan with Costello and Flanagan also involved. The IRFU say the recruitment of assistant coaches is an issue for Munster….
Last month, the province confirmed that it is seeking voluntary redundancies from a group of around 100 staff. It is understand that only a handful so far have taken up the offer.
